The Arab Spring continues to be felt around the world and many of the demonstrations have not yet achieved their goals for full democracy and freedom, as evidenced by a report concerning Bahrain’s recent political upheaval.  This report leads to questioning as to whether other countries truly made the large democratic strides they hoped for, or if they fell short as Amnesty International says Bahrain did.  Read more to find out.

 

Meanwhile, I found an interesting article (albeit it slightly old) about the reasons for/against international intervention in Syria.  Should be interesting to anyone watching the Syrian crisis as everyone should be.
