Professor Seyyed Hossein Nasr of George Washington University will be giving a lecture concerning the changing nature of Islamic identity in the modern world this upcoming Friday. The lecture will be given at 7:00 p.m. in Varsity Hall (#2) in Union South and is free and open to the public. The lecture is sponsored by the Wisconsin Union Directorate, Inside Islam, Global Studies and many other organizations throughout campus and has been made available through funding from the Kemper K Knapp Bequest Fund. Anyone interested in learning more about Islam and how it defines individuals throughout the world should consider attending this lecture. It will certainly be an engaging talk about the increasingly important topic of how Islam is viewed by both individuals and society.
