International M.A. program in the Politics of Conflict, which is offered by the Department of Politics and Government at Ben-Gurion University, Israel.
A message from the program chair:
Our one year M.A. program The Politics of Conflict offers rigorous academic courses, taught in English, that focus on Israel and the Middle East and is suitable for those who wish to pursue an academic career and/or for people who are interested in working for governmental or non-governmental organisations. The program provides a unique opportunity for students who wish to learn about the different ways in which global and local processes have formed numerous sites of conflict both within Israeli society and in its relations with its neighbours. We engage with the questions of politics of space and territory, the politics of protest and the nature of social and political identities within the Israeli society.
In our program we promote a multidisciplinary approach to the study of politics that we think best reflects the complex and global nature of politics today. We encourage both academic excellence among our students as well as active engagement with the socio-political reality of the region. During their studies our students have an opportunity to meet with various social justice organisations and visit numerous sites of conflict in the region.
