A native of Iran, Fahimeh Vahdat witnessed the Revolution of 1979 unfold in front of her eyes while a young college student in Tehran. She and her family experienced religious persecution, and she was forced to flee her homeland. She has not returned ever since.
Fahimeh Vahdat is an activist who presents both nationally and abroad, and through the power of art and lectures, she brings public awareness to issues of violence against women and children, equality of women and men, and human rights in Iran.
