Lecture: “The Qur’an in the Enlightenment: Translations, Readings, and Impact” by Ziad Elmarsafy on April 27th

Professor Ziad Elmarsafy will be giving a lecture on the interpreting the Qur’an during the Enlightenment Period on April 27th at 4:30pm at the French House, 633 N. Frances St.

Professor Elmarsafy is Lecturer in the Department of English and Related Literature at the University of York. A reception will follow this lecture. This event is part of the lecture series on “Enlightenment, francité and Their ‘Others’ in the Eighteenth Century: Gender, Religion, and Race.”
